stucked with Ubuntu at this moment!
The good points are:
- Ubuntu is up and running
- Windows XP is still bootable
Well, sounds cool except the fact that:
- Lost access to my projects and applications related files (@#$%)
- No wireless in Ubuntu (using wired connection, took 10 minutes to find the cable)
- The explorer.exe process (in Windows, of course) requires a forced “End Task” and another directly call (from Run) to work. And when the desktop display, it’s the famous screen regarding “Active Desktop” blah blah (clicking “restore… something” triggered a javascript error! @#$%)
Lessons:
- It’s good to install applications and store files in different partitions from OS’s. Sometimes you can still boot up the OS just to look at the familiar interface and… do nothing!
- Setting up a dual-boot system is always a good decision, you will have plan B when one of the OS went down. Well, but I need a plan C right now! @#$%
*sigh*
