The good points are:

1. Ubuntu is up and running
2. Windows XP is still bootable

Well, sounds cool except the fact that:

1. Lost access to my projects and applications related files (@#$%)
2. No wireless in Ubuntu (using wired connection, took 10 minutes to find the cable)
3. The explorer.exe process (in Windows, of course) requires a forced “End Task” and another directly call (from Run) to work. And when the desktop display, it’s the famous screen regarding “Active Desktop” blah blah (clicking “restore… something” triggered a javascript error! @#$%)

Lessons:

1. It’s good to install applications and store files in different partitions from OS’s. Sometimes you can still boot up the OS just to look at the familiar interface and… do nothing!
2. Setting up a dual-boot system is always a good decision, you will have plan B when one of the OS went down. Well, but I need a plan C right now! @#$%
